JAN DOWNES
Secret Scrolls was selected for the Blake Prize exhibition in 2010, a similar piece was in the Gold Coast International Ceramics Award exhibition in the same year. Jan has a Masters of Fine Art from the University of Newcastle where she has taught for a number of years. Her recent work is mostly printmaking on porcelain and she has developed a particular focus on lithophanes allowing light transmission through fine porcelain.
