Ceramics is a constant journey on which I am ever learning and evolving as an artist and I hope that this is reflected in my work.

I am particularly drawn to the paradoxical qualities of strength and fragility in porcelain clay bodies such as ‘Southern Ice’, which is an Australian developed and produced fine white porcelain clay and enables me to achieve a wonderfully clean and pure aesthetic.

I am especially passionate about bowl forms because they are so universal, needed and used by all cultures and religions, and to me represent hope for unity and calm in a turbulent world.

Handbuilding is also a passion and includes ceramic and mixed media pieces dealing with issues such as identity.

Since moving to the Newcastle area I have attended the Newcastle Art School and I am currently studying Fine Art at Newcastle University. I have exhibited at various galleries in the Newcastle region and my work is available in the gallery shop at ‘Back to Back Gallery’, as well as ‘Maitland Regional Gallery’, ‘Gosford Regional Gallery’ and the ‘Caipercaillie Winery’ in the Hunter Valley.
