My interest is with form and the possibilities and freedom of expression offered by the potential of unglazed and glazed surfaces through pit and Raku firings.

My introduction to clay was when 500 grams of the material was placed in my hands and I told to do something with it. Making a pinch pot seemed a completely natural thing to do and I was captivated by the feel of it.

I completed Ceramic Certificate III & IV in 2006/7 at Newcastle Art School (Hunter TAFE).

Whilst I enjoy hand building, the wheel, including the kick wheel, gives me a feeling of being at one with the clay.

My inspiration comes from ceramic artists who show a technical skill with a searching artistic spirit.
